- [Instructor] If you want to allow different people to be allowed to use this file, and at the same time, and make changes to it, the file needs to be what we call, shared. That also sets up another feature called tracking. You might want to keep track of those changes. Now in older versions of Excel, go to review tab, and you would find a feature called sharing. You might note here, off to the right, in the protect group, we do have unshare workbook, but sharing isn't here. So what do we do? In the quick access toolbar, which is typically located above the ribbon, the button on the right, customize quick access toolbar, click that, toward the bottom, more commands. This activates the Excel options dialogue box. We want to choose commands, not from popular commands, but from the drop arrow, either commands not on the ribbon, a shorter list or all commands.
