- [Instructor] Probably the most important data management tool is Sort. You'll find the Sort options on the Data tab, there are three buttons here. You'll also find these same buttons on the Home tab if you click the Sort and Filter button in the Editing group in the menu. So we've got these two buttons here, again, just like we're seeing on the Data tab. Now, imagine this data's just been sent to you and you haven't scoped it out or anything, you're ready to sort. Do you have to select all the data before sorting? Well, you don't have to, but occasionally you should, and if it's new to you, definitely. Simply press Control A before sorting. I'm not saying you need to do this every single time, particularly if you're familiar with the data, but a good followup to this, and not so well-known, is press Control Period four or five times.
