- [Instructor] Although creating and working with charts is usually fairly straightforward, there are problems in that there are so many choices we can make as we work with charts. Do notice that any time you click on a chart, I'm about to click on the green chart below the data here, that activates a Design tab and a Format tab. Any time you select a chart, click on a chart that is, these two tabs become present. If I click outside, for example, on the data, if I click in Column H, for example, over in the left side of the screen, those tabs disappear. Click back on a chart, they reappear. Often the Design tab is automatically selected. This is the more important of the two tabs that appear here. On the Design tab, off to the right is the all important Change Chart Type icon. Also of importance which is covered in a later movie, Switch Row/Column and Chart Styles which occupies a huge portion of this particular ribbon.
