Use 3D formulas to tabulate data from multiple worksheets with the same layout

- [Instructor] The term 3D formula 2 typically refers to a situation 3 where you have multiple worksheets in an Excel workbook, 4 and you want to create a summary 5 or a total sheet that looks the same 6 as all those other sheets. 7 This idea only works smoothly and easily 8 when you've got different worksheets 9 that have the same layout. 10 We're looking at the California sheet here 11 for these appliance sales. 12 Now, as I click on the Texas sheet, 13 notice the layout is identical. 14 The numbers are different, and, of course, 15 the word in the upper left-hand corner 16 in cell A2 is different, but the layouts are identical. 17 Now, to create a summary sheet, 18 we could create an empty sheet 19 and then copy data from one of these, 20 but it's going to be a little bit faster if we simply 21 copy one of the sheets. 22 So I'm going to copy the New York sheet. 23 Holding down the control key, 24 I'll drag New…
