- [Instructor] Function key F9 has multiple uses in Excel. 2 It's frequently used as a recalculation button, 3 but you can also use it for editing purposes. 4 In this worksheet, I've got a formula in cell C6. 5 It's not giving me the answer that I think it should be, 6 so I want to pick it apart by editing the formula. 7 You can edit in the formula bar or in the cell itself. 8 I'll double click on the cell. 9 And I think this portion of the formula is the problem, 10 but I want to know what this is equal to. 11 I highlight this, press the function key F9. 12 That's what it evaluates to. 13 If that's not the problem, 14 what I really want to do now is return the formula 15 and highlight a different portion of it. 16 So I'll press the function key control Z, meaning undo. 17 And maybe it's this portion over here. 18 I'm going to highlight this. 19 Now, if I highlight a portion of it 20 that Excel can evaluate and press…
