- Excel has a number of formatting capabilities, many of them are found on the Home tab on the ribbon. We've got a Font group here with lots of choices, and by the way a Border choice there as well too. We've got an Alignment group with lots of choices, also a Number group. There are times however when we want to get to features that we don't see here on the Home tab. And we need to go to Format Cells. There are usually three ways to get there. One way is to use the arrows that we see in the lower right hand corner of each of these groups. This is sometimes referred to as a dialogue box launcher. So if I were to click the button right here to the right of Font it activates the Format Cells dialogue box with the Font tab active. And as we're looking at this we see certainly some of the features that are available to us already in the ribbon but also some additional ones. Some additional underlining capabilities, we also see Strikethrough, Superscript, Subscript, that we don't see on…
