- [Instructor] Excel's data validation feature 2 is a powerful tool 3 for controlling what goes into a worksheet. 4 And if we were about to set up 5 a data validation rule in column A, 6 wouldn't be a bad idea to first select column A, 7 we could ultimately be creating a list in column A 8 that will grow and grow and grow. 9 When we go to Data Validation, 10 it's found on the Data tab in the ribbon, Data Validation, 11 there are potentially lots of different restrictions 12 we can set up by first going to the Settings tab 13 and then looking at the options in the panel 14 under the word Allow. 15 Lots of choices here. 16 But nowhere in here do we see anything 17 about upper and lowercase. 18 And there are lots of other features 19 that you might be interested in to use as a basis 20 for controlling what goes into a cell. 21 So we don't see too many restrictions here 22 and certainly one we do not see directly 23…
