- [Instructor] When you work with time-sensitive data, 2 there will be situations where you need to rely 3 upon functions that give us the current date 4 and/or the current time. 5 In this particular worksheet, 6 we want to calculate the age based on a birth date, 7 but we want this entry always to be correct. 8 And the same thing with the service years. 9 How long has this person been here? 10 So if it's today that I'm talking about, 11 I might get a certain number, but a year from now, 12 that number's going to be larger or three years from now. 13 I want to use this file and always make sure 14 that this data here is up to date 15 as well as the data that we're going to put in here. 16 Now, a quick reminder, the two functions 17 that we're talking about are called TODAY and NOW. 18 And like all functions, they're followed by parentheses. 19 But if you're simply typing the function by itself, 20 and you probably wouldn't need…
