- [Instructor] A relatively new function 2 in Excel is called sequence. 3 And in the middle of the screen here, you see a display 4 of the various arguments that it might include. 5 It can be used in a very simple way, 6 sometimes using only a single argument. 7 Sometimes we will indicate not only rows, 8 but also columns start and step. 9 In these various green cells here 10 I'm going to be using this in a different way. 11 So let's start with a simple example of sequence. 12 And it's designed to simply create numerical lists quickly. 13 If you're trying to track it down in the menu system, 14 on the formulas tab, it's a math and trig function. 15 And as you slide over its simple description here, 16 returns a sequence of numbers. 17 So in its simplest form, in cell A to equal sequence, 18 as soon as you see it in the list, 19 you could double click it. 20 I'm going to put in the number five.
