- [Voiceover] Two new functions introduced in Excel 2016, maxifs and minifs, are very similar to the previous functions. You might have seen it in the movie on countifs, sumifs, and averageifs. Because these functions end in s, they have something in common, and that is, they can contain multiple criteria. Looking at this list here, we might be interested in what is the maximum compensation amount for our full-time employees, and only the full-time employees. In cell J2, =maxifs( The data we're going to be tabulating is coming out of column H, so we'll choose that first, comma. Now we're looking at the data in column F, comma, to see if it's equal to full-time. I could be typing " full time " but because it is in cell L2, I'll simply put it there, and enter. The highest compensation amount for full-time employees is this. It could be interesting to do the same kind of thing for half-time, contract and hourly, so I'll drag this down.
