- [Narrator] To make sure that your Excel workbook is secure, you need to understand how to use the commands "File Save" and "File Save As". If there's any doubt, about saving a file or making changes to it and then saving it, you want to use the longer command, the one "File Save As". Let's explore both. We're looking at the worksheet Save in the workbook 02 entering data. You've done some data entry here. You've added some color, some bold. You want to make sure that if there's a power failure, highly unlikely, but you don't want to lose this data. So we need to save it. If we go to the File tab in the ribbon, we can choose Save or Save As. If you use Save As, and this might look different on your screen, you need to decide first of all where to save this.
