- [Instructor] Whenever you need to hide rows within a list and focus on just those rows of current importance, the filter command provides many powerful options. And we're looking at a worksheet called Filter in this Workbook 10 - Data Management Features. This list right now does not have to be in any particular order, but if we only wanted to see people, say within a certain Department, or maybe just the full-time people, or maybe those with a certain job rating, we can filter based on one or more of those bits of information in these different columns. When you click within your data, and you would have made sure ahead of time that your data's contiguous, you don't have any empty rows within the list, click the Filter button on the Data tab. And now we see little filter arrows. This feature is relatively easy, and most people can relate to it pretty quickly. Let's just take a simple example.
