- There are any number of reasons for wanting to hide data and sometimes we're talking about data in columns or in rows or maybe even in entire sheets. Let's say we're about to print this data. The quick keystroke shortcut for Print Preview is click on the data, press CONTROL + F2. Now, not only is this not going to fit across the page, I realize there's data in here that we really don't need to have printed. We don't need to see the Social Security Number and for this particular purpose here, we don't need to see the building. So let's ESCAPE from here. Let's hide a column. I'm going to hide column B. Now I can hide a single column simply by right-clicking the column letter. You don't even have to select it first. I could just put the mouse here, right-click, Hide the column.
