- [Instructor] There are any number of different reasons 2 for wanting to hide columns or hide rows. 3 And there are three different situations 4 where if you are copying data 5 that includes hidden rows or hidden columns, 6 you run into some potential problems. 7 Sometimes you want to copy just the visible data. 8 Let's focus, first of all, on this worksheet here. 9 It's got about 700 rows or so 10 and let's imagine that we want to see just some of the data. 11 So we apply a filter. 12 A filter ultimately is hiding rows. 13 So clicking anywhere within this list, 14 we'll go to the Data tab, 15 Filter to the right, 16 and let's say we don't want to see all the departments. 17 I'll simply click the drop arrow here for department, 18 unselect them all. 19 Let's imagine that I want to see 20 the Admin Training group here 21 and the Compliance group, 22 and also a bit further down on the list here, 23 the Research Center…
