Design for multisite mail flow
- [Instructor] We're going to review three different multi-site mail flow scenarios. The first one would be email delivered to Microsoft 365 and then synced to an on-premise Exchange 2019 server. The second will be email delivered on premises and synced to Microsoft 365. And the third is going to be email delivered to on premises and forwarded to the internet through Microsoft 365. Each of these offer multi-site mail flow. Our first scenario will be email delivered to Microsoft 365 and then synchronized to our on-premises Exchange 2019 server. This is also referred to as a hybrid solution and that's because both the Microsoft 365 Azure location and the on-premise server contain the exact same data, so it's synchronized. The MX record that you'll create in your DNS server is going to point to Microsoft 365, so all email would be delivered there and then synchronized.
