- [Instructor] For on premise Microsoft Exchange 2019 Server we have two different types of licenses. We have, as you see at the top, the Standard client access license as well as the Standard Plus Enterprise client access license, commonly known as the Enterprise CAL. We can see the first five different features are all included in both different types of licensing. Then we go down to where it says Journaling and we can see that journaling is done per database on a Standard license and it's done as per user in an Enterprise license and the difference is basically with journaling in a Standard one is you can journal everyone or no one in a database. However, with a Standard Plus Enterprise you can journal specific individual users, which is a great advantage because you may not have the storage capacity to journal everyone or the need to journal everyone.
