- [Instructor] Secure socket layer is being replaced by transport layer security as the protocol that's used when to encrypt data sent between computer systems in Exchange. We can see that TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer supported in Exchange Server 2019. 1.2 is now the standard for Exchange Server 2019 as well as 2016. TLS 1.3 is not supported yet. That's a future TLS that will come out at some point. Let's take a look in our Exchange Admin Center how we set up TLS. We'll start by going to Mail Flow in the Exchange Admin Center and then go to our Receive Connectors tab at the top. We can double click on anyone of our receive connectors and we can see under the Security tab on the left that TLS is enabled. We also see Basic authentication and integrated Windows authentication on this particular receive connector. If we only want to allow TLS and not offer Basic as a failover or integrated Windows authentication, then we can just leave the TLS box checked. We could also check the box…
