- [Instructor] Connectors for sending and receiving email need to be set up, but prior to that we need a few things to get going in order to make this all work such as we need to add an accepted domain configured for the organization. If we don't have an accepted domain, then there's no way the Exchange Server will accept any email from anyone. You can have one domain or many domains set up as accepted domains for inbound email. You need to have at least one email address assigned to a single recipient. Ideally, every recipient is going to have at least one or multiple email addresses depending on the types of alias addresses they need as well as the amount of differed accepted domains that we're going to set up. We also need to have MX records for our public DNS zone. So that means not just on the inside of your network but on the outside.
