Plan a high-availability mail flow solution
- [Instructor] When we work out our high-availability planning, we need to discuss several different options such as the data center infrastructure. To have true high availability, you're going to want to have more than one data center in more than one location and those locations should be far enough apart where, if a natural disaster happens in one location, it won't directly affect the other location. And this is what Microsoft does with Microsoft 365. When it synchronizes your email, if you choose that type of service, then you're going to have that high availability. And that's because they synchronize in database availability groups in different parts of the country or different parts of the world. You're also going to want to have server hardware. Instead of virtual machines, Microsoft is suggesting that you stay with physical machines and that's because there is a performance hit when you use virtual machines.…
