Planning the namespace model

- [Instructor] A Namespace is the architecture used for naming Exchange and ordering certificates. We used to need to have many more names based on the location of the server and the function it provided. Now we only need public names for our certificates, such as mail and auto discover. One of the benefits of Exchange server 2019's architecture is that the namespace model can be simplified when compared to earlier versions, such as Exchange 2010. The first reason is we no longer need to use the RPC client access namespace. This is due to the architectural changes within the product. Second, the client access services proxies requests to the mailbox server hosting the active database copy. We also used to need to use internal names of the domain as part of the namespace, but this turned out to be a security issue, as everyone now knew the name of your internal active director domain when sending out an email. And it caused issues with some domains ending up in top level names that…
