Troubleshoot mailbox databases
- [Instructor] In an on-premise exchange situation, there are many possible reasons for database problems. The database could become dismounted. That can happen in the middle of a backup or a Windows update, or some other problem with an on-premise exchange server. And we may need to remount that database. This can simply be done through the web portal, or through a PowerShell command. However, if a database has become corrupt, remounting the database may not work and additional issues may need to be resolved. Database availability groups could have synchronization issues. And this happens when we have two or more servers that are synchronizing your databases and something breaks that synchronization, such as a network issue. It could also be caused by a DNS issue as well. DNS is very important to database availability groups, because it does need to resolve the names of the database availability groups as well as the…
