Using DirectWave for sampling

DirectWave is a great fully featured sampler that comes with FL Studio. Using it you can replicate the sounds of almost anything. The more samples you have of an instrument at different velocities and at different keys, the better the sampler will sound. Let's have a look at using DirectWave to recreate the sound of a basic pat. As you can see, we've already got an instance of DirectWave loaded up in FL Studio. If you don't know or don't have this already, then click on "View Channel rack", click on your "Add New Channel" button and make sure you scroll down to the sampler section to select DirectWave. What we've done here is we've loaded the three samples that come with the exercise files. In my browser and in my samples section, if I "select all", collapse the structure, and then go to my samples subfolder, you can see that I've selected my pad sound from C4, C5, and C6.
