- One problem that FL Studio users sometimes have is running out of mixer slots to do more effects processing. There are several ways of getting around this. The two main methods are using the plugin patcher which comes by default with FL Studio and also by rooting your insert bus to another mixer channel to take advantage of the mixer effects slots on that channel as well. The patcher method is the primary method by which to add extra effects to the mixer. Let's open up the patcher plugin and add effects into the plugin directly. First of all, let's have a look at our sample. We have a lead with a midi pattern which we can then pace directly into the playlist. Then, what we want to do is select the lead sound in the channel rack, go up to the mixer, right-click on Insert One and root it to that channel. Then what we want to do is add a new instance of patcher. To do this, we can click on the little arrow next to Slot number 1 and then select Patcher, under the Patcher section. This…
