Creating a custom video player with Photoshop, part 2
- [Man] What we're going to do is add the video file in as a layer. To do this, we want to convert this to have a timeline. So what I need to do is open up the timeline here and choose create video timeline. This will automatically size things and add the timeline down below. The default is not going to be the correct duration, however. Now, let's choose to open up the video. I'll choose file open and navigate to a video file that I have. You'll find it here, and it's the Luminar 18 promo for a piece of software. What I can now do is drag this into my template and drop it into place and click okay. You'll notice that it adds the video layer. Let's pay attention to our layers here and the relative duration. I can now see all of these different pieces here and if I make a little bit more room it should be pretty logical. We have the background followed by a pattern and a button and the wash, the top logo, and then the video. Let's put the video below the wash layer and adjust durations…
