Do you have the rights to post the content?
- Before you upload content to Facebook, it's important that you make sure you have the rights to do so. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. First up, copyright law can get pretty complex and varies from country to country, so if you're not certain, make sure you talk to a local attorney who does understand your rights. But here are a few guiding principles. First, make sure that the content you're posting that you have the rights to do so. If you're an employee for a company or creating works for hire, you might not have those rights. Even though you worked on something, it doesn't mean you have the rights to post it. Another potential way to think about this and get around it is look for what the client themselves or the company has posted. Have they shared it to social media?
