- Before we jump into specific techniques, let's take a quick look back at where Facebook has come from. There are a lot of things that have changed through the years, and depending upon when you joined Facebook, it may look very different than when you started. Now, Facebook is obviously a platform that you're familiar with and there's a really good chance you're already using it on a daily basis. In fact, almost everybody on the planet uses it, so it might be a little bit scary how far their reach is, but let's take a look at their roots and where they started. First, Facebook was launched back in the year 2004, so depending upon when you're watching this, that's about 17 years ago. It was created by Mark Zuckerberg, who's still with the company and quite famous, along with a handful of other folks that he went to school with.
