- Going live on Facebook is surprisingly easy these days. This is because you can actually publish the content right from your smartphone or tablet, and it's gotten easier than ever. Now there are lots of things to think about, but ultimately it comes down to this. You need a mobile device with an internet connection, and that's the bare minimum. But if you want to improve the quality, here's a few things to think about. First, consider having a dedicated battery pack that you could plug in. Streaming from a smartphone or a tablet quickly drains the device of power, because it's pushing out a lot of data and using a lot processing power to go live. Also, consider that you have some options with using things like stabilization. In this case, I've got my camera mounted to a small tabletop device.
