Prepping graphics
- If you have graphic content that you want to share, such as illustrations that you've made using a vector design tool, you will need to convert those to raster or pixel-based graphics. I'm going to show you how to do this. First up, if you're using a tool like Adobe Illustrator, it also features a Save for Web command similar to Photoshop. Just open up your vector file, and we'll check a few things. One of the things I notice here is that I want to take a look at the document color mode. It's going to be important that we save out to RGB. This is going to allow us to make sure that it is in the proper format. Avoid CMYK, as that's more for print. Now, choose File, Export, Save for Web Legacy. Now, there is the Save For Screens option that also works well, but I prefer the simpler, safer web legacy, because it's more consistent in Photoshop.
