Prepping video with Apple Compressor
- The process of preparing a video with Apple Compressor is pretty similar to Median Coder but let's take a quick look. Remember Apple Compressor is an Apple-only program. It's available from the Mac App Store and is often used with the final cut Pro 10 workflow. It allows you to drag in a file and then it can also take care of compressing it to a wide range of settings. With compressor, you need to bring the file in first so you can drag and drop or just click here to browse. I'll navigate to those movies and I'm going to select two of these for processing and click add. Now it asks you to choose one or more settings. These settings are the type of outputs that you're going to make and these are pretty logically organized as well based upon the purpose. If you scroll through the list here, you'll see that we have options for social media such as go directly to Facebook. So I could choose up to 4K to go…
