Searching your identity with saved searches

- One technique I strongly recommend is creating saved searches for things that matter. When you log into Google, it's possible to do a search and then save that search. Effectively, you can create alerts. This allows you to enter a query, as well as restrictions. What's it searching? Is it looking for only the top hits or all hits? Where does it get delivered to and how often? This way you'll get an actual alert in your inbox when your company or production is mentioned. You might choose to do a saved search on your name to see when things pop up. This way you can track your content and how people are responding to it. This response is going to allow you to find things that you might have missed. If you go to google.com/alerts, this is where you can set up your alerts and they'll be tied to your account.
