- While putting up prerecorded videos makes a lot of sense, it's also possible to go live on Facebook, which adds a sense of immediacy. There are several benefits and reasons that you should consider using live video. Let's start by taking a look at exactly what Facebook Live is. With Facebook Live, you have the ability to select one of your Business Pages. Now, you don't have to go live from a Business Page, but you get a lot of benefits if you work with a Business Page. This is generally a good idea. I will show you in a moment how you can go live without using one of these services, but you're going to find a lot more control, so I do recommend that if you're using Pages or using Facebook as a business or an entity, not an individual, go ahead and set up a Business Page. You could be a non-profit, a trade association, a church, and still use Business Pages.
