- What we're looking at here is a list view in FileMaker and what I'm going to do is show you how you can create one field that can turn a list view into a report. Now, I might be overselling it just a tad but my idea of a report is where we're looking at something onscreen that is different from the information that we entered into the database. So, for example, if FileMaker could aggregate some of the information that we're looking at here and tell me something about this list of invoices that I have, it might actually make this information more interesting. So what I'm going to do is introduce you to the last type of a field that we have not covered yet in this course and it's called a summary field. We're going to go into manage database and we're going to look at the different fields that we have available to us and I'm going to have you create one that's called total summary.
