Constraining or extending found sets

- [Instructor] I'd like to introduce you to a technique that's different from doing an inclusive search via two or more requests like we've talked about in previous movies. But there might be times where you want to add or remove from your current found set, as opposed to searching within the entire database of records with your request. In these cases, you can use the functions that are called constraining and extending found sets. For example, I'm going to do a search by entering Find mode, and then entering CA in the state field. I'll hit Perform Find and I find that I get 23 records. Now, I'm going to go back into Find mode and this time I'm going to type in Inactive into the status field. But instead of hitting Perform Find, I'm going to go under the Request menu and I'm going to choose Extend Found Set. So what I've just done is I've extended my original found set of 23 records and added anything that had the status of inactive. So you'll look that the only ones that are not…
