Create and apply static value lists

- (voiceover) Several of the field controls styles like dropdown list, popup menus, checkbox sets, and even radio buttons. Require that you first specify a value list for the values that are going to be presented to the user. Now value exist independently of field control styles, but they are closely affiliated. A given value list can be associated with any number of fields throughout your solution. And so that FileMaker stores those and manages those independently from the fields themselves. Value lists are managed under the file-manage-value list option. And you can see here that in our exercise file, we already have a value list for status already setup. There are two different types of value lists that you can create. You can see that when you hit new. You can either use custom values, which are often referred to as static value list or the values from a field, which are using the field index. Those are dynamic value lists.
