Creating multi-line scripts
We've already looked at assigning a single script step to a button. For example, here if we look in Layout mode, we've got this button, and if we right-click or Ctrl-click on it, we can see that we've got this list of steps that we can assign to it. In this case, it'll only perform one step, but sometimes we need multiple things to happen. So for example, let's say when we hit a button we want it to go to a layout and then do something else. Well, one of the script steps that's compatible is the ability to run a previously created script. So a button can not only just perform one single script step, but it can be told to go to a certain script in your Manage Scripts and then run it. So sometimes it makes sense to just run one action, and sometimes it makes sense to run several actions. And anytime you need to run more than one script action, that's when you're going to want to create a script. So let's look at an example of that.
