Creating multiline scripts: Printing in scripts
- [Instructor] Scripts automate functionality performed manually by users. And printing is one of the more popular functions in FileMaker apps, so of course there is scripting support for printing. Now you'll see in this script, we've put some lines in here that indicate that we want to print only the current record, and we want to actually print. So it's really two different scripts steps, and I want to go through those with you. So the first one that I want to look at it, actually if we just go ahead and type print over here, we see we have print, and print setup. Now, it might say page setup depending on what operating system you're on, but they're the same thing. So really what I want to talk about first is the print setup. This is really print options. So if I double-click on it, we see that it shows up in my list. I'm going to move it up to line four. And you'll notice I have a gear icon here, but when I click that gear icon, and I hit specify, up on screen pops a page setup…
