Creating relationships in FileMaker

So, right now, we're at the point of the database development process where we're assuming that you've already gone through your data modeling exercise which helps you determine the tables and also lets you see the relationships between those tables. Then, of course, we've already created those tables inside of our database as you can see here under File > Manage > Database. We've got all four tables, and within each, we've even created our primary and our foreign keys appropriately. And this is critical because at this stage, what we want to do is link these tables together, creating relationships inside our FileMaker database. So the third tab you see here in the manage database window is called the relationships tab. This is what's called the relationship graph. You'll notice that within the relationship graph, we have these four boxes that are already here for us. These are very similar to the entity relationship diagram boxes, but not entirely the same.
