- [Instructor] As you continue to work more and more you're going to find that you're going to have lots and lots of layouts, and there's really no limit to the amount of layouts that you can have in a FileMaker file. You can have dozens, or even hundreds if you'd like. Therefore, it's going to be useful to organize these layouts in a way that both you, can use to make it easy to find the layouts that they're looking for. The first tip I'm going to give you, is that this Layout drop-down that you see over here on the left hand side, you'll notice that in all the files every time we create a layout, one gets added to the list here on the left hand side. However, I would caution you away from using this drop-down for your users to actually navigate their way around your application. is primarily used for buttons, and buttons are really the best way to navigate around your FileMaker custom apps.
