- [Instructor] In many cases you may need to search for multiple different criteria but in the same field. In these cases you'll need to be familiar with adding a new find request because you can't put two different search criteria into the same field when you're searching. So let me show you what I'm talking about here. So if we open our exercise file and we go to the customer list, we go into find mode. Let's say I want to search for all the customers in California. Great, but what happens if I want to search for all the customers in California and Washington? I can't do something like this because FileMaker's going to literally look, and I'm using the term literally literally, it's going to literally look for those two values. So instead what we do is we create one search request and then we hit this button over called new request. And now we can type in Washington and FileMaker's going to give us a combination of those two things. You can see that it includes only State of…
