- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to use another real world use case to apply what we've learned about modeling relationships. But this time, we're going to look at one-to-one relationships and the concept of a self-join table using an instance. But first, let's remember that ERD modeling breaks down into three phases. Developing the List of Tables. Determining and diagramming the relationships between those tables. And if we encounter any many-to-many or one-to-one relationships, we'll repeat those first two steps. In this example, we have the Radley and Friends Corporation HR department and they need a database to manage all of their employees. They need to be able to manage the benefits each employee receives. In addition, they way to use this same database to track employees that are managers and which employees they manage.
