- [Narrator] One of my favorite layout features is a layout object called pop overs. A pop over is a button that is actually a layout object that allows you to work with fields, text and other objects on a layout. Got some good examples inside the starter app, which is the Invoices Starter App. It's had some great uses of pop overs. As a matter of fact, you'll see here, instead of having users pick from a drop down to assign the customer to an invoice, instead you'll hit this pop over button and get to pick them from a portal. Or down here, when you're adding a line item, you've got that cool effect of the pop over growing. Here, I might want to see a payment status, which is giving me information about the payments so I don't have to take up all that space on screen. Even on the dashboard, the pop over is used as an administrative tool that allows users to edit the name of the company so that that can be information that's propagated throughout the rest of the system.
