Previewing the Inspector

One of the most important tools that you'll be using when you work with layouts is called the inspector tool. This is something that you can only see in layout mode, so if we go into layout mode here, and notice I don't see an inspector, but if I go to view and inspector, you'll see it appear. Now if you go into layout mode and see your inspector, that's because that's your property of the application, and if you leave the window open when you're in Layout Mode, go back to Browse Mode and then back again. It's either going to be there where you left it, or if you'd closed it before, it'll remain closed. The Inspector has 4 different tabs to it, and all sorts of different functionality, all of which we'll be covering in the upcoming movies. I just wanted to show you how you can access the inspector here, and in general some of its roles. You should know that even though there's 4 different tabs and you can only see one tab at a time, you could invoke as many new inspectors as you like.…
