- [Narrator] One of the benefits of FileMaker is that you can print any layout that you can view on screen. Now, I would actually caution you from not having your users print any layout on screen, and what I mean there is that I think that some layouts should be for data entry, 'cause there's a minimalist theme that is intended for print layouts, and the rest of the themes might be a little bit more rich and maybe not as printable as you'd like. But I want to show you some of the concepts around printing so that you can be familiar with them, and it really boils down to the printable area. Let's start by going into Layout Mode. Here's just an example, blank layout that we've got here. Now, if you do not see the dotted lines, and you'll have to check Page Breaks. That's what these are. They're page breaks that will tell you that anything that's on this side of the dotted lines will not be printed on this same page, and the same goes for anything below this dotted line.
