Using date and time functions

Date and time functions are among the easiest to learn because their syntax is really simple. These functions really fall into one of two categories. One of the categories is going to be those that extract a bit of information from a date or time field. And then there's those that construct date, time, or timestamp from bits of information. That you're going to provide inside your calculation as parameters. So let's take a look at some of these. If we go into File>Manage>Database. In our Invoices table we're going to create a new field that's called datecalc out of this existing number field. We're going to create the calc. So let's go to calculation and hit Change. We hit OK. Saying that, yes, we want to turn a number field into a calculation. And if we go over here to the View menu, and isolate the date functions. See, they're pretty self explanatory.
