- [Narrator] So in this movie, I'm going to cover the third, sort of, principle way that you can allow your users to create child records. Specifically, what we're doing is showing you how you can populate the foreign key field inside of a child record to make sure that it has a valid relationship with one of the records that's in the parent table. So in previous movies, in case you didn't watch them, we've covered a technique where we use a value list to show all valid PK values, and allow our users to pick one of those. We also showed the way that you can modify a portal to populate one of the foreign key fields. And now, what I'm going to do is a little more sophisticated approach. And this one's by far the most popular one. And this is where we're going to use scripting. So if you don't know scripting, I'm going to show you some of the important elements.
