Using the tab control feature

- [Narrator] A Tabbed Interface is a popular design feature for many applications. In those cases when you select each Tab you can display unique set of objects or data. Thereby allowing you to use the same section of your layout real estate for multiple different purposes. So for example, let's say we're restricted to just this space where we can put the content in our layout and let's say we got a bunch more stuff that we want to put on here or maybe make some things larger. Well, we don't want to make it so that the users have to scroll. So how about if we recycle that space in the middle? The way that you can do that is by adding something called a Tab Control in FileMaker. If you look here in the layout toolbar when you're in layout mode you'll see that the Tab Control tool is the one that's found right here.
