Using value lists to link child records

- [Instructor] Once you have the structure of your relationship set up in FileMaker, then it's really about users using your database and creating records. And in order for records to be related to each other, that means that a child record has to have a valid pk value in their fk field to be related to a parent record. And that's dictated by the criteria that we set up inside our relationship. So for example, if we look at Orders, specifically, in order for Orders to have a related customer record, then the value in the CustomerIDfk field, which is known as the foreign key field inside Orders, needs to have a value that matches a value in one of the Customer pk values. So we call that a valid pk value, meaning that there has to be a record that actually has that in there. So the question is, how do the pk values and the fk values get populated?
