- Most of the local short films I've worked on don't have a big enough crew to have a 2nd Assistant Director, or 2nd AD. But Bry Troyer volunteered to work for free just to be a part of this project. And Bry is a really talented filmmaker in his own right, so I had him be 2nd AD. As a 2nd AD, Bry worked under Gevin's direction since Gevin was the 1st AD. On bigger movies, 2nd AD usually stays behind at the production office to answer questions and such, but it was a small time here. We didn't have a production office. So I kept Bry close. He's always willing to help wherever he's needed and his personality is just so refreshing. I put Bry in charge of all the paperwork. Because I needed releases for people for both the film and this training on lynda.com, there was a lot of paperwork and I knew that I could trust Bry with it.
