- So Kevin, when it comes to changing the color temperature of a light, the first thing I think of is something like this. What do I have in my hands here? - That is a color temperature blue gel. - Yeah, so one of the things I think a lot of people confuse gels, they think of some sort of paste or something you smear on a window or a light - no. - Or like Jell-O. - Exactly, Jell-O, no, this a gel. It's just a piece of color controlled plastic, basically, that you can use to place in front of a light to augment or change or supplement the color temperature that's going on there. Now we have this instrument right here, let's turn that guy on, this is a tungsten, more or less, hot light and if I actually put my hands in front of this, I kind of have a nice warm tone on this.
