- Now it's time for the blocking. The blocking is where we all find out about the physical reality of the scene. The only voices we should hear, are the director, and the actors. The first AD will keep things moving, the first camera system, has marked V for the camera, T for the actors, and the first AD will keep things moving. Now, the actors will actually find out now what the director's required of them physically. And then they have to react to how they feel about that from a character standpoint. But this isn't the time for careful discussions about the story, or about character, that they can do after the blocking is over and once they've left the set, we can't start lighting until the blocking is over and the actors have left the set. Okay, so let's take a look at the blocking. - [AD] Alright you guys, so I'm going to have you sitting down, we're going to open the scene with you sitting, you're going to have the note that we saw earlier, Mark, you're going to come this way…
